Units Entry popup

Use the Units Entry popup to specify units for a variable. It will appear for stocks when they are first put down after completing name editing when in suggest view (as selected from the Mode Toolbar). You can also open it by selecting set units from the Context Menu.

Note: You can't assign or change units for a variable whose units are defined by other variables. For example, the unit of measure for a flow attached to a stock is defined by the stock's unit of measure. In this case, the Units Entry popup will not be available

• To assign existing units to the selected variable, start typing the name of the units in the Units box, and select the units you want from the dropdown list that appears.
• To assign existing units from a list of existing units, click , choose the appropriate units or category, and select the units you want from the dropdown list that appears.
• To have the software specify the appropriate units for the selected variable, click , and choose Suggest units. The software will determine the correct units and display them in the Units box. This option is not always active
• To create new units and assign them to the selected variable, type the name of the new units in the Units box.

Click or click off of the Units Entry popup to keep the units you have updated.
